Our Week
May 1st, 2011 by mica
“The thing that I made and I like!” I must have heard this a hundred times this week. Many times each day, Ronan is busy in the pantry and spice cabinet, whipping up his newest culinary creation. Most are a disgusting blend, such as the “french fries” made of dill, soy sauce and chocolate sauce. Well, this week he outdid himself. He added at least twenty ingredients to make a mixture that he truly loved. Ingredients included corn starch, flour, molasses, apple cider vinegar, red wine vinegar, cocoa powder, chocolate chips, pumpkin puree, oil, and cinnamon, to name a few. When he finished and tasted his “frosting” recipe, he beamed with joy. “I made something that I like!” He was so proud and proceeded to tell everyone who came in the house about it. For the next many days (until I rinsed it down the drain), he asked for more and more spoonfuls of his special creation.
Birdie and Ronan doing some team painting. I think most of the paint eventually ended up on Austin’s face and fingers.
The mini trampoline continues to be a hit.
Austin will not be left out of the fun. So proud to be bouncing just like her big brother.
And of course, lots of good times with the Dadda. He is synonymous with fun around here.
Last, but not least, I had to include this picture of candy sushi. I helped with the bake sale at Ronan’s school and thought this entry took the bake sale to a whole different level.
