Wrapping up the year
School came to a close with a trip to the tide pools
Ronan won’t be returning to Ventana in the fall and we will be sad to miss the great friends he has made over the past two years. I like how comfortable and silly they can be together!
During the last week of the school, the kids had a “trading” day where they brought in homemade goods to “sell” in the classroom. Ronan made spiraled marbles out of modeling clay, and in typical fashion, traded up from a handful of marbles to this bounty of sweets.
Austin enjoyed finishing up the year at school and was proud to receive a medal of “trustworthiness” from her teacher for being such a loyal and dependable friend. She has loved kindergarten and is eager for school to continue. (Yes, these kids are from the same family!)
Austin was very excited for her big dance recital. Here is her class at the dress rehearsal:
And preparing to go on stage for the big show. Austin had a natural way about her on stage and an enormous smile as she danced. I think this is the beginning of much performing ahead…
Right as school ended, a huge cooler of Blue Bell ice cream arrived, thanks to Pops and Priscilla. It has been a great way to start off the summer with many ice cream parties! The kids loved playing with the dry ice that arrived with the ice cream that day.
