Red Ropes

A few months back, Ronan made his first sale from the “collection” in his room.  A tube of German toothpaste went to Uncle Baxer for $20.  Not a bad profit.  Ever since, Ronan has held onto the twenty dollar bill, pondering how to spend his earnings.

Fast forward to a few weeks ago.  Ronan discovered the Red Ropes at the Creamery and was so excited that such a long piece of candy could cost only $1.  He asked me to go to the Creamery day after day to buy the licorice.  One morning, Seth was upset and a light bulb clicked in Ronan’s head.  He decided that he wanted to use his $20 to buy Red Ropes and to give them to whoever might be having a bad day.

He couldn’t wait to find Seth and help “cheer him up.”  Here’s Seth enjoying his candy on a train ride.
