Sea of Dreams

Austin has been captivated/frightened by this scene in a wonderful, wordless book, “Sea of Dreams.”
For a little lady who is all about connection and having the mama and the dadda and the baby all in the same place, I’m sure this scene does not sit well with her. She has been telling and re-telling the story to whoever might listen. A few times this week, before bed, she has prompted me to recite the story and gets a huge grin on her face when we talk about the boy being “safe” with his family. Here she is “reading” to Ronan.
And pointing out that the boy is back in the boat where he belongs.
Austin is such a sweet and deeply affectionate girl, always looking up at me in the crib and asking for just one more hug.
