I think the face says it all.

As well as the fingers, shirt, pants, shoes and every other inch of clothing and skin.

This was our third summer picking berries at Webb Ranch and Ronan took his job very seriously. He scoured the bushes for perfectly dark blackberries to add to his basket. He left the farm without a single berry stain on his clothes or a single berry touching his mouth. Austin was quite a different story. She delighted in the “reject” berries that Ronan determined were not suitable for his basket. Austin happily sat in the wagon, popping berries into her mouth left and right.

Samuel, Lachlan, Baby Elle and Bay Ray came to join in the fun.

A great tradition that I look forward to continuing in the years to come. When my field hands are more proficient in the gathering, I think we’ll concoct boysenberry pies and cobblers for all!

Mica – I love that you picked white pants for birdie on such a day as berry picking! Sorry we missed the fun! Hopefully next year!
