Snow storm

March 8th, 2011 by mica
With rain in the Bay Area and snow in the mountains, we decided to pack our things for the cabin. The storm dumped seven feet of snow over the course of three days (yes, seven!). When we arrived at the cabin, this part of the roof was all that was visible…

Thanks to Gentry’s mountain man skills and lots of elbow grease, he managed to dig a snow tunnel to the front door, carve steps, and start a fire that heated a 20 degree house into a cozy, toasty cabin.

Ronan continues to love his rides on the snowmobile,

being thrown into deep, deep snow,

and eating snow and icicle treats.

We’re keeping our fingers crossed for another storm soon!

Wow!!! I just showed Heff the cabin pictures- he’s jealous and told me to keep reading your blog so he can convince me we need a little cabin in the woods one day! Those are vet impressively carved stairs by the way. Looks like such fun for your family :)
