The Duck Pond

October 27th, 2010 by mica
With another round of colds, we’ve been on house arrest for the past few days. I figured that an outing to Ronan’s new favorite destination wouldn’t endanger the ducks’ health too much.

Stale bread in hand. All ready for his big job of feeding “hungry birds.”

They swarmed us immediately– mallards, seagulls, pigeons, geese.

The large geese were rather persistent and began pecking and poking Ronan for bread, something he really did not like. He started yelling, “Go away birds! Go eat grass over there!”

After they snapped a piece of bread from his grasp, he decided to put the crumb bag away for a while. And now, free from the perils of feeding geese, Ro is happy again.

(Meanwhile Baby Austin is curled up with me in the baby carrier, with her fuzzy coat and hat, laughing and shrieking with delight at the birds).
