Backlog: visitors

March 2nd, 2008 by gentry

We’ve been a bit too busy baby-ing to keep up with the blog lately, so we’ve got a backlog of content to share. I’ll kick it off with a post that’s been waiting for a while; look to Mica to add quite a bit of content over the next few days…

One of the great things about kids is all the wonderful people who come to visit. Ronan has had his share of visitors for sure, many of which haven’t made it online. Here’s a smattering:

Aunt Anne and uncle Jorge came to visit around Christmas time. Anne’s a natural with kids (good news, as she’s about a week from having one of her own).

One of the benefits of having artistic in-laws is that they pick up on the little things, like noticing the somewhat disturbing kinship between Ronan and this monkey. Though he’s outgrown the look (and the size) since this picture, there was a point when their resemblance was uncanny…

Over the holidays, Ronan’s godparents, Heath and Lisa, also came to stay with us and meet the little guy. Lisa loves babies (she’s recently decided to focus her residency on obstetrics) and we had a hard time separating her from little Ro.

Heath, padrino, met Ronan like he meets most of life: with a wonder and awe that makes you see things a new way yourself.

(Lisa’s all smiles anyway, but having Ronan around doesn’t seem to hurt)

Grandy came to visit earlier in February and Ronan took to her immediately.

I think I saw her try to sneak him into her luggage on the way out.

And, of course, Grandpa Tom is over all the time. He and Ronan like to nap together — Ronan may be the only person in the family who has been known to sleep in more places!
