Life of the Party

December 3rd, 2007 by gentry

So far, having Ronan has been a real treat in two ways: the first is (of course) the fellow himself. The second is all the friends and loved ones who have been visiting him. Most of the time when visitors have dropped in we’ve been to focused on other things to grab a picture, but we have snapped a few and I thought I’d share them here… [new bonus: click on the image for a larger version. if it doesn’t work for you in email you can click on the title above and go to the website]

Visitors made all the difference in the hospital.

Is it just me, or does Scottie look really natural with a little one?

Teddy, on the other hand, looks comfortable for a very good reason (named Samuel).

Nancy and Tom woke up in the middle of the night to meet their grandson. Invaluably, they’ve been around off-and-on ever since.

Jocelyn has stopped by on several occasions — Ronan is happy to meet her with his signature alertness.

When Kristina gets her arms on Ronan she doesn’t let him go for hours.

Last night we had a few friends over for the second of three consecutive dinner parties. You might think we’d be too warn out on days 5, 6, and 7 for such revelry, but in fact it’s these moments that energize us and keep us going. Ted, Scottie, Meredith, and Randy joined us for a special bottle of wine (thanks Fred!) and a wonderful Mer-directed meal.

Meredith, yet another natural.

Of course once the party’s over, Ronan zonks out. A few nights ago he made it clear that he was not to be swaddled anymore. Fair enough. He now keeps his cute little hands up in the air when he sleeps.
