Daddy time
After Mommy does the hard work of feeding, Ronan’s off to Daddy to get burped, hang out, and (eventually) fall asleep. It’s my favorite time. He’s super alert, curious, and generally cute as a button. It’s absolutely adorable. There are so many times I’ve wanted a camera — many of these were taken by holding my SLR out with one hand awkwardly, pointing vaguely in the right direction, and taking a bunch of shots…

If all is well (read: not swaddled, diaper OK, ate enough, and not too much gas), he’ll be incredibly mellow and yet stay awake for sometimes half an hour or more before eventually the newborn sleepies get the best of him.

dad, sounds like your onto something here…vague-point photography. i’m impressed! you really captured some sweet moments with those gadget arms. although who could go wrong with that subject?
