It has been a month of plentiful rain, rainbows

and mud hikes!

Ronan has been busy at school on an independent project, delving into base 2 and binary code. It—s been fun to watch him find his own passions and be supported to dig deeply into them by the Brightworks staff.

He—s also started a snap circuits club on Fridays and teaches a group of students about circuit design. He—s a natural encourager and teacher with the younger kids and the Circuits are a hit.

After school, Ronan and I typically wander into the city on adventures. On this particular day, he found this sequin wall in a fabric store and got to creating. The things I never notice myself that he can find!

Austin worked hard to decorate a cake for Nugget—s 1st birthday! We celebrated together as a family on Sunday and she was delighted to watch him enjoy his slice of beef-bacon-peanut butter cake:)

She was also thrilled to try on her first bikini! It was a cold winter day when I brought the swimsuit home and Austin could be seen frolicking around the house in her new swim gear. Very exciting!

Lastly, in December Austin applied to be a part of a Pokemon Art Show in San Francisco. We got a call that she would be the youngest participant in the show and have her work in a gallery in the city! She has been working with Gentry and Becky to think through how she—d like to display her work at the big show. So exciting to watch her grow more pride and confidence in her art.
