Holiday Break!
December 16th, 2016 by mica
Both kids finished up school for Christmas break, with each school celebrating in its own very distinct way.
I helped cook Friday’s Community Lunch at Brightworks— a weekly tradition put on by parents for all the kids and staff. The atmosphere was alive and vibrant, as always. I love how the kids are mixed up by age at the lunch tables. Today I saw Ronan sharing his coin collection with a high schooler and kindergartner! And when we picked him up at the end of the day, we found him in the middle of an all school dance party:)
Austin has been practicing the music for “Santa Lucia” for the school holiday performance. She has loved practicing the song and has been so excited for the day to come when she’d sing for the audience. Austin chose a special dress and picked out all kinds of jewelry to make herself fancy for the big day.
Singing Santa Lucia on the way into the Parish Hall.
Nana kindly came to watch the performance. She continues to love on the kids and is deeply involved in their lives.
Me and my happy little love! I enjoyed watching her “shine” in her moment up front.
Closing out the year with her class:
And now its time for vacation!
