Life is good
I’ve been away from the blog for a spell and wanted to share some of what we’ve been up to…
Last weekend we visited the Cow Palace for the annual Dog Show (I never would have seen this coming). We are in search of our family dog. I’m pretty sure this one is not going to be it, but it was fun to see all the possibilities.
Ronan and Austin have been enjoying a lot of time with friends. It turns out that even manual labor can be fun with a friend involved:)
Austin has been busy climbing
and climbing
mastering new dance moves
dressing up in fancy shoes
and ice skates.
Ronan has been creating
and mixing up new inventions
and designing. I gave him a gift of colored card stock and he decided to affix the paper to his ceiling in a random pattern, hoping to create a patchwork of colr that he could view from his bed at night. His brain works differently than any other I’ve known!
Most mornings and afternoons, he takes his bike out and about, in search of new trails to explore.
Gentry and I had the good fortune of returning to our favorite spot in Baja last week. We had a magical, romantic, bliss-filled few days by the ocean, thanks to team Nana-Baba-Becky. We count ourselves as some of the luckiest on the planet, to have wonderful children at home and the chance to get away from home, on our own adventures. The mix of home and away is a powerful thing.
