Carrying On…

School continues and the kids are happily engaging with their days. Austin in action:

I love how much exposure to art Austin gets at school. This was the set up today at one of the tables- struck me as a beautiful and simple place to create!

Here’s the first of three self-portraits she’ll do over the course of the year:

And in Ronan’s class, I appreciate the creativity and thoughtfulness behind the projects. During this particular day, each child was able to create and mix their own color. They bottled the new paint, picked their own name for the color, and combined them into a set of class paints. Here’s Ronan’s:

Outside of school, we’re having fun monkeying around. The kids get so excited to greet each other after school- smiles, hugs, and lots of shares about the day. Here is happy Austin, about ready to attack the world’s largest lollipop. Can you believe this was a party favor?

The days are sweet right now. I’m trying my best to enjoy the moments we have together in what feels like a golden time of childhood…
