Wisdom

When Ronan was born, we joked that he was an old man trapped in a baby’s body. We were dead right. I mean, look at those eyes?
He is a wise, old soul and the more time I spend with him, the more I’m astonished by the depth of his thoughts and his capacity to articulate the Great Mysteries of life. Here’s a recent Ronan quote:
And here are more sayings that I had to jot down from the last few weeks/months:
“When I die, I hope I’ve had more roses than thorns.”
***
After discussing the tragic truth that there is no Blue Bell ice cream in California, Ronan laughed, “Oh, mama! You know, no state is completely perfect.”
***
“Do you know what the most important thing in the world is? Living is.”
***
To Austin, at breakfast yesterday morning, “Do you know that you were smaller than a grain of sand sometime?”
***
It is a privilege to engage with the clarity and innocence of a soul like this.
