Special Visitors

We have been lucky to have Grandma Carol staying with us the past few weeks (Lisa’s mom). We love having her as a regular in our home and are grateful for the extra hands, care and resourcefulness that she brings. Here are a few shots from her time with us:
Tara and Mike came to visit as well (Lisa’s brother and sister-in-law), and we had the pleasure of meeting Baby Lauren. It was fun to have another family to share in the chaos of our our household with and to get to see them embrace their roles as new parents so wholeheartedly. Austin, of course, was delighted to have a baby around. Whenever she could, she would sit by the baby. And if we were out of the house, she’d ask to return home to see Baby Lauren. Wow, the nurture instinct is strong with this one…
Austin holding her own baby, wrapped in a blanket, alongside Tara and Lauren. Birdie proceeded to take her job of rocking the baby to sleep very seriously.
Grandma Carol, the kids and I ventured out for a rainy day walk.
Austin learning to wield her new umbrella.
It didn’t take too long for the kids to find a nice mud puddle.
And it didn’t take very long for Ronan to realize that he could make really big splashes in the mud puddle.
Leaving some very muddy kids.
Thanks again, Grandma Carol, for a wonderful time!
