Attack of the Squirrels

Apparently the squirrels in Palo Alto are wild, hungry savages. Ronan and I were part-way through carving a pumpkin and stopped to take a lunch break. I returned to find part of the face gnawed off and the top completely gone. Here’s what happened to our pumpkin over the course of a day or two.
Looks pretty scary, right? Ronan and I carved the pumpkin (below) at a party with friends last week. He decided that he wanted the pumpkin to have five eyes. Here’s the pumpkin just hours after putting it on our porch.
The fun part about this all is that we can watch squirrels all day long coming for a bite to eat. Our yard is alive with local wildlife:)
