Week One

Week one with Baby Austin. What has she been up to? Sleep, sleep and more sleep, with some eating in there too.
I know that as parents we are to minimize comparisons between our children, but the first week has shown us that the same mother and father can produce very different children! As a newborn, Ro was awake for hours on end, always looking around and taking in the world. Little Austin shows us her eyelids most of the day:)

Ronan has been doing pretty well with the change (so far). Certainly helps that his Dad has been home showering him with attention and fort-building extravaganzas. I think that Baby Austin’s “gift” to Ronan also made a big impression. When we returned from the hospital to see Ro for the first time, we presented him with a Minnie Mouse doll from his sister. Shouts of glee and circles around the kitchen ensued. Minnie is now attached to Ronan. He carries her around the house by the nose and includes her in all his daily activities.
We’ve had a good week with our two kiddos. The adventure continues!
