Say Hello to Baby Awesome
We’ve learned a couple of lessons in the past few weeks. First, DNA gender tests are unreliable at best. Second, early (15-week) ultrasound gender tests are also unreliable at best. Third, if you’re really anxious to know the gender of your baby, you might be better off waiting until 20+ weeks to find out anyway.
After seven weeks of believing Ronan was going to the the big brother to a little brother, we now know he’s actually going to have a little sister. Among other reasons, we’re excited about this because we already had a name picked out for a little girl: Austin.
A few weeks ago we tried the name out with Ronan. “Ronan, can you say ‘baby Austin'”? He sat quietly for a moment and then responded, loudly, “Baby Awesome!”
And with that I think our naming questions were answered once and for all.
So, without further ado, allow me to introduce you our daughter and Ronan’s sister, Austin Underwood. She debuts in her first home movie, aptly titled “Yawn”…

Hooray for the Underwood clan! Austin is lovely, but is Eowyn really out of the mix? There seemed to be a Riders of Rohan thing going on, generation-wide.

Congrats!!! Must have been quite a double take to get a change of plan, but glad you get to use a name that was waiting… :D Can’t wait to see Ms Awesome when she arrives! GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS!!!!
