Our little man…

Is all grown up:

OK — maybe not all grown up, but it’s hard to believe that he’s already a year old. Officially now a toddler, Ronan is definitely asserting his will (which right now amounts to insisting on being with “dada” all the time and throwing most food onto the floor).

Ronan was with the rest of his family in Texas for Thanksgiving, and this meant the special treat of getting to have his first birthday with Grandee and Pops. As a bonus, little Ro had his first birthday cake in the very same high chair that “dada” had his:

At first Ronan wasn’t at all interested in the cake, but mom put a bit of the icing on his lips and the game started to change:

Mmmmm.

After cake, it was time for a bit of everyone’s favorite ‘pin the balloon on the baby’. Ronan was joined by his cousins Caleb and Hudson.

The celebration was also a birthday party for Ronan’s great-grandfather Abbott, who recently turned 89. See if you can spot him the following lineup of young men:
